Tom Hogan has a lengthy history within the financial sector having received his CPA accreditation in 1974 and began practising in his home town in the country and then overseas, in the early to late 1970s. After moving to the Sunshine Coast in 1979 and continuing his professional pursuits in the accounting arena, this led to him moving into the property environment with a career with Forrester Kurts lasting some 20 years. During this career change Tom managed, leased and sold many properties mainly throughout most States of Australia. Upon his retirement from Forrester Kurts in 2002, Tom took up employment with Chesterton Petty in Saigon and lived there with his wife for a number of years. His main role with this Company was CFO and he also became involved with leasing and property management.
Tom’s real estate career commenced some five years ago and was a continuation of his passion and involvement in the property market since his teenage years. Tom has since listed and sold all aspects of property including residential, commercial, business, vacant land and has been involved in the marketing and sale of projects and sub-divisions. Tom’s speciality within the real estate sector is finance related and with this extensive history as an accountant, he has the ability to assist clients when making recommendation’s regarding viability and estimation. “I joined the Ken Guy Buderim team because we share a common ethos and the goal of achieving the optimum price for our vendors and stakeholders is paramount within our business. Tom is also currently the Treasurer of the Woombye Hall Committee who’s role is to preserve the heritage listed hall for future generations. “In my spare time, I enjoy golf and travel and the company of my five grandchildren who teach me something new every day.”
